The City of Jacksonville’s 22/23 Operating Budget and 5-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) is moving through the public hearing process, and City Council will vote on the Budget by their last meeting of this fiscal year, September 27th.  The 22/23 fiscal year begins on October 1, 2022.

Riverfront Parks Now applaud’s the mayor’s priorities which include significant, near term investments in major destination parks, boat marinas and the riverwalk to complement the Emerald Trail, MOSH, the USS Orleck and many private developments underway such as the Four Seasons Hotel.

Remaining meetings that pertain the budget include:

Tues. Sept 13th at 5 p.m. – City Council Meeting, Public Hearing

Tues. Sept 20th at 9:30 a.m. – Finance Committee – review of adjustments/amendments

Tues. Sept 27th at 5 p.m. – City Council – Final Vote on Budget

Please check City Council Meetings Online for updated meeting information and agendas.  At this time, we do not anticipate any strong objections to the budget as proposed with regard to the riverfront.
